Course Summary

 

This race gives kids the chance to get out there and have a go if they are not old enough or not yet up to the bigger races, it attracts the younger ages and is for anyone from the age 7-17.

Race Start Time: 8:15am
Check-in: 7:15am – 8:00am
Race Briefing: 8:10am at the Start Line
Time Limit: 45 minutes start time.
Junior Categories: 7-9, 10-11, 12-13, 14-15, 16-17
Entry Fee:

Distance: 1800m
Start Line: Norman Park, Gordonvale
Turn around: Coarse to be confirmed
Finish Line: Norman Park, Gordonvale

Participants are to enter the age category as their age on the event date.

Check-in:
As per time in the event program: Report to the runner’s registration tent and receive your runners bib number. This bib must be worn for the entire duration of the race.

Number bib and Certificate:

Your runner’s bib is yours to keep and will be your certificate for participation in the event. No further certificates will be printed or emailed for this event.

Race rules

 

  • Please obey all marshals. Failure to do so may result in disqualification.
  • There is to be NO outside assistance.  Pacing by outside persons is prohibited. This includes a non-entrant joining the race, or a person shouting instructions from a bicycle.  Anyone caught receiving outside assistance will be disqualified.
  • Personal music devises are NOT permitted to be used due to safety issues.
  • Runners who do not complete the full course should NOT pass through the finish line.  Please present yourself to finish line officials to be marked off as as returned DNF (Did Not Finish).
  • Stay on the track always. No short cuts as this results in disqualification
  • Any protests must be lodged within 15 minutes of your return. The Committee will hear these and their decision will be final
